The conventional standard shock absorbers on the market are designed for a weight range that is too high (e.g. 0 to 4.0 t ). Optimal damping is only given with medium trailer
weights (2.0 t).
In the lower weight range, there is overdamping. The effect is the trailer's jumping and bumping. In the upper weight range there is underdamping.

Installation:
The rubber-mounted articulated connection eyes enable a low-wear, tension-free installation position of up to 5°. In contrast to commercially available axle shock absorbers, the screws of the AL-KO Octagon axle shock absorber red are firmly integrated in the eye of the damper and are therefore part of the scope of delivery of a damper together with the nuts.
