To avoid incorrect orders and unnecessary returns, please pay close attention to the manufacturer-specific marking of the mounting side:

  • Do not rely on the direction of travel: For latches, the designation "Left" or "Right" is not necessarily the same as the driver or passenger side of your vehicle.

  • Defined by mechanics: The side specification is determined solely by the manufacturer’s design and locking logic. The decisive factor is the direction in which the lever tensions or opens – completely independent of which side wall the latch is mounted on.

  • Compare before ordering: Choosing based on the simple assumption "I need the left side for the trailer" often leads to the wrong component.

Our advice for your purchase: Please compare the locking behavior and the curvature of the lever of your old latch very closely with our product images. This is the most reliable way to identify the correct version.
